I drew *coughiwaslateandkiTTbeatmetomusic* quotes from the book vs. the movie. I'm going to be honest. I have only seen the movie four...make that three and a half...times and it's been awhile since I've read the book, so I was rusty on what was in the book vs. the movie. I do know one epic line that was left out. I'm sure you all know which one I'm talking about.

"Why am I covered in feathers?"

There is merch up the ying yang with this quote on it. I can't tell you how many t-shirts I saw in LA during the premiere week alone. I think it's safe to say everyone thought it would be in there. I get why it's not in there (a) Edward wasn't even in the room when Bella woke up covered in feathers and (b) it helped facilitate Bella's flashback of the wedding night.

Beyond that, I couldn't have told you which came first...the quote in the book or the movie. So in that spirit, I'm going to list some quotes that I know for sure were said in either the book or the movie because they spoke to me on some level. Feel free to help me out in the comments if I messed any/all up :)

100 Monkeys to be exact ;)

Jackson Rathbone, Ben Johnson, Jerad Anderson, Ben Graupner, Uncle Larry

As most of you know, Jackson Rathbone and his band 100 Monkeys are on tour promoting their new album "Liquid Zoo." One of the tour stops was at the House of Blues in Chicago. How did I first find out they'd be in Chicago? The awesome Jamie (@Jaymes805/Borderline Phenomenal) emailed me. Any of you lucky enough to email and/or tweet with Jamie know that she's hilarious and a big sweetheart.

Needless to say, I didn't have to think twice about going. Having heard so much about 100 Monkeys from my besties Sue (@TwiloveSue/TwiBite) and Jen (@TwiredJen/Twired) and Jen's sister (@Elusive_S/Twired), I knew I had to go. What I didn't know is how many of us would end up going to the show and getting to hang out together. It ended up being an incredible four days.

Of course I had to get my Soul Sister Mary (@Mama_Cougar) to go with me. Then we got in touch with our Illinois girlz Kassie (@MrsKassieCullen) and Marie (@MarieCullen1) - both with Twilight Junkies Anonymous - about getting tickets and meeting up. Next, HB Marie (@HisbellaMarie) and Mary's daughter (Lil Cougar) got tickets. Then, to my complete surprise, Fran (@belladuluk) and Jayla (@ChefJayla) decided to fly in from the East coast to go to the concert. Having met Fran in NYC for the Water for Elephants premiere (here), I couldn't wait to spend time with her again. Having never met Jayla before, I was ecstatic that we were finally going to make it happen. Add to that a Twitarded mini-reunion - Jude (@Double_Dippin), Micki (@Micki_Martini), Mandy (@Purple_whipped), Nicole (@sloppy_scnds), and Kristin (@justkristin1) - and the trip reached epic proportions.

The band announced the sale of VIP tickets, which included early entrance into the venue for a soundcheck party and a t-shirt, and a few of us bought them. Money well spent. If you are thinking about going to their concert and VIP tickets are available, buy one! Not only did we get to have a very intimate acoustic set with the guys, we got to have our picture taken with the band and were given an autographed picture. More on that later.

In the meantime, I got another email from Jamie (did I mention I love her?) telling me about a flyer contest hosted by the 100 Monkeys Official Street Team. She thought I should enter, so I did...but only after procrastinating until the last possible minute and submitting my entry at the deadline. Literally. The contest was to create a flyer for the venue(s) you would be seeing the band at in order to promote the concert. How did I find out I won for the Chicago stop on the tour? Yep. Jamie tweeted me all excited that I'd won and provided me with the link showing all of the winners.

So it was that I won a meet and greet with the band. This would be a first for me...meeting someone whose career I followed and ~~inappropriately lusted after~~ respected. I alternated between being thrilled and feeling my age. But as many of you reminded me, I'm 17 forever and growing up is overrated, so excitement won out. I wasn't notified that I could take a guest and a small part of me was relieved that I wouldn't have to choose who to take with me to meet the boys. But then I got a last-minute email from...you guessed it...Jamie saying I really needed to check with the Street Team because she was 99.9% positive I could take a guest. So I emailed them and sure enough, I could.

So began the selection process. I figured it would be easier to pick someone who had bought a VIP ticket because they told me the meet and greet would take place right after the VIP soundcheck party. That narrowed it down. Then I thought of the person who was standing next to me in NYC when I got to see Rob. I knew it would be fitting to have her standing next to me when I got to see Jackson too. I also needed her support for something I wanted to do during the meet and greet. It was late the night before the concert when I emailed Fran to tell her I wanted her to go with me. I was smiling as I typed the email, knowing she'd wake up to the news. When she found out, I think she went through all of the same emotions I had, with excitement eventually winning out.

Finally the day of the concert arrived. I drove three hours to our hotel and met up with Mary, Mary's daughter (Lil Cougar), Fran, Kassie, Marie, HB Marie, and Jude.

Then we headed to the venue. Those of us with VIP tickets were let in early. I had never been to a House of Blues before, so that alone was cool. We could have taken a place right up by the stage, but they were putting up small, round tables with bar stools half way back on the floor and along the perimeter, so Fran and I grabbed one in the middle of the front row. It was nice because it gave us a place to set our purses, cameras, drinks, etc., throughout the course of the night as others joined us.

Then I went in search of someone who could tell me where to be for the meet and greet. I found out where the line would be forming, and I was able to watch it from our table. Kassie and Lil Cougar were the only other ones in our group who had VIP tickets, and they got a spot in the very front to the right of the stage.

There was no announcement that the band was taking the stage. They simply came out and started walking toward the front of the stage where they sat on speakers and stools close to the fans. I don't know what it is about me, but just like when I first saw Rob, the sounds around me faded away. I could hear Jackson's cowboy boots as he walked across the wooden flooring. When my eyes found him, I couldn't stop smiling. When he sat down in front of me, only one thought came to mind...Rathbulge. Do you know who came up with that nickname? Jamie. She had told me to be sure and get a picture of the Rathbulge if I could, so after everything she'd done for me, how could I not? I had to tweet it to her, right? Right.

The VIP soundcheck party was incredible. Jackson talked a little bit (he told us Uncle Larry was sick but was resting so he could try and do the show, especially since he's from Chicago), and then they did an acoustic set, the highlight being the song .38 Special.

Unfortunately, I screwed up big time when I forgot to actually put the battery in my new camera when I charged it, so the only pictures I got were with my cell phone. I was practically in tears, but Fran took care of me and let me use her camera a little bit and also shared all of her pictures with me. Now I'm sharing them with you. Thank you again, Fran!

Then their tour manager announced that if we got into a single line, the band had agreed to take pictures with us. The boys are beyond generous and appreciative of their fans. Fran was wicked smart and asked Jackson for a hug and he gave her one...something she'll never forget.

Once the VIP soundcheck party was over, they started letting in what we thought were the general admission floor ticketholders. But before I knew it, Mary (who had a balcony ticket) was standing in front of me. It turned out that everyone was let onto the floor. I am sure it had to do with the total amount of tickets sold and while I wish they had sold more so that they had to open up the balcony, it was a bonus to be able to share the concert experience with everyone in our group, regardless of the level of ticket they had purchased. Seeing Mary at one point with her jaw practically touching the floor while watching Jackson was something I wouldn't have missed for the world. I definitely converted my Soul Sister into a Jackson fan that night.

Jayla, one of my original blog followers and my partner in crime in all things ff, found me too. Meeting her was everything I had hoped it would be. She is beautiful, smart, funny, and just so real. Did I mention that I love her?

Jayla has seen 100 Monkeys more than once, but I think one particular concert will go down in history. You can read her story on Tongue Twied here.

I went to check on the meet and greet line and was told it would be soon, so I went back and got Fran. Eventually, the tour manager escorted us to another area at the foot of stairs leading up to the next level. I told Fran that I wanted to go last, so as more people came, we let them go ahead of us. Fran had hoped to purchase a "Liquid Zoo" CD for the band members to sign, so I asked the tour manager as she went by if there were any for sale. She happily told us yes and where the merchandise table was located. She said we had time to go over and make a purchase before we would be taken upstairs, so we went and checked it out. Fran was able to get the CD, and I bought a concert program for them to autograph.

The time came, and they took us to the top of the stairs where there was a narrow hallway with a wooden railing leading to a closed door. There was a House of Blues security guy and an assistant tour manager at the front of the line controlling who would go into the room and when. To say I was freaking out was an understatement. Fran was so calm and kept reminding me to breathe. Of course, I found out later that she was only holding it together for me. Have I mentioned that I love her?

There were only about 15 of us in line. Finally, it was our turn. I wish I could say that I remember every single second of what happened next, but when adrenaline is pumping through your veins and you come face to face with Jackson (and the boys) in a dimly lit room, time stands still and speeds up all at the same time. Fran went through the line first, and I talked a little bit with their tour manager. I thanked her for the opportunity and told her I enjoyed seeing her on the video when the American Idol finalists Scotty and Lauren went backstage to meet the band recently. We talked about that until it was my turn. Jackson was first in line, then Ben G., Jerad, and Ben J. (Uncle Larry had to pass on the meet and greet in order to get more rest.)

I know I said hello and thanks for meeting with us. I also had an ice breaker thanks to my bestie kiTT (@tonguetwied/Tongue Twied). As many of you know, she coined the nickname "Mohawtie" for Jerad. She joked with me one day to be sure and tell Mohawtie hello for her when I met him. So an idea came to me the morning of the concert. I made a sign that said, "Wish you were here, kiTT! Love, Mohawtie." I told Jerad that a good friend of mine had come up with a nickname for him and now we all call him that. I asked him if he would mind holding a sign I'd made when we took our picture and he said sure. I handed him the sign, and the boys crowded around to read it.

At this point, Jackson's left arm was literally up against my right arm. It was all I could do to concentrate ~~and not jump him~~. I had to keep reminding myself that I was only 17 forever in my head and old enough to be his mother. Jackson read the nickname out loud and sounded it out as "moHATtie." I told him it was pronounced "moHOTtie." They all got a big kick out of that and laughed. Jerad was definitely a good sport about the whole thing. After the picture, I told him he could keep the sign and showed him where I'd typed kiTT's twitter name in the lower rh corner, mentioning that it would be awesome if he'd tweet her. Nothing yet, but you never know. (And for the record, kiTT got it SO right. Jerad, with his mohawk and dimples for days, definitely puts the HAWT in Mohawtie.)

Thanks to Jude, here is the video of Jackson referring to Jerad as Mohawtie. kiTT didn't believe us when we told her he'd actually said it on stage. Jayla and I were standing next to each other and went nutz, high-fiving each other. So cool. Thanks, Jude!

I told the guys that I loved the new album and Jackson wanted to know which songs were my favorite. I told him Made of Gold, The Sound, and Invisible Monsters. He said, "Uncle Larry sings Invisible Monsters!" I didn't know that, so it was cool. Uncle Larry, a Chicago native, closed the show with that song.

There's more to the meet and greet story regarding a conversation I had with Jackson about something else, but l have to save it for another place and time ;) Those of you who have heard the story already...shhhhhh! In the meantime, check out kiTT's reaction to me delivering her message to Jerad here. It really made my day to be able to do this for her. Have I mentioned that I love her? (Stop rolling your eyes, kiTT!)

The concert was amazing. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Just as Sue, Jen, and others have been telling me for months and months, you have to see the band live to really appreciate how good they are. They have such an energy on stage...a love for what they are doing. They take turns singing lead vocals, switch instruments, do an improv song, and engage the audience, especially Jackson. He never stops moving, and it's sexy as hell. Mandy, Nicole, and Micki's husbands were also at the concert, and even they were impressed when it was all said in done.

Part of the reason it's taken me so long to post about this is that every time I went searching for videos from the concert, I would get lost watching them and many other videos. Before I knew it, I'd spent hours watching. I don't see it as time wasted. It just upped my Monkey Junkie status. I cannot wait until they get anywhere close again.

Friday night a bunch of us got together at HB Marie's house for appetizers and drinks *coughtoypartycough*. I was the DD for our group, which was probably a good thing. We had a blast. Saturday morning we went and picked up Kassie, and she took us to the Mount Olivet Cemetery where Al Capone is buried. The real reason we went? The cemetery plays a significant role in the ff story Emancipation Proclamation. Fran and Kassie are huge fans of the story. I would be too if I'd ever finish it. *hangs head in shame* I love what I've read so far though.

Saturday afternoon Kassie and I went to watch the Chicago White Sox play the Minnesota Twins while the other girls went on a Chicago mafia tour, which they really enjoyed. Kassie's a die-hard Sox fan and I'm a die-hard baseball fan. My allegiance is to the St. Louis Cardinals, however, I love Carlos Quentin, and Joe Mauer came through our local minor-league affiliate, so it was a win-win for me. We scored free tickets five rows up from the Twins' dugout and couldn't believe it. A family who was in line behind us needing to make a ticket exchange ended up having free tickets they couldn't use and wanted to pay it forward. I had the best time and...wait for it...did I mention I love Kassie? The mom in me wanted to keep her and bring her home with me. Just sayin'.

Saturday night, Micki stayed with Jude, Fran, and I. Micki, Jude, and I ended up walking around for a little bit, stopping in at an interesting karaoke bar for a drink and then grabbing a sandwich. Back at the hotel, we had a ton of laughs, and then I shed a ton of tears reading the final chapter of a ff story with Fran. Remember the "more to the story...another place and time" comment above? It will make more sense then.

As I told the girlz from Twitarded, I honestly don't think that any of my adventures would have happened without finding them in the early days. I took my first solo vacation ever...making me get over my guilt at being selfish and traveling without my family...when I went to Forks with them last September. I've met the most amazing people in this fandom as a direct result, many of whom I know will be life-long friends. Since Forks, I've been to NYC for the WFE premiere, Chicago for the 100 Monkeys concert, and most recently San Diego for Comic-Con...where Sue and I may or may not have found the Holy Grail (well, at least the Holy Trinity)...another long-ass post to follow, but don't hold me to a time frame ;) So if you're reading this girlz, thank you again and a big, fat MWAH for bringing us all together!

And Fran emailed this one to a group of us the other day. Somehow I'd missed my subscription alert and hadn't seen it yet. Being the #SAP that I am, it makes me cry. These boys are definitely having the time of their lives...and I know that all of us at the concert that night did too.

My First Bite of the Big Apple

I know, I know. I'm a really slow chewer.

It all started with a text from my Soul Sister, Mary. "I found round trip airfare to NYC for $250. Get out your f*cking credit card. You're going." And so it was that we went to see a man about an elephant.

As I told Mary, this was essential packing for the trip.

Spent the night before our flight out of Chicago at Mary's
mom and stepdad's house. Absolute sweethearts who
spoiled us rotten. Great food. Great conversation.

We met up with Kassie at Midway, boarded the plane,
and began our epic journey.

We actually got to have lunch with JJ the next day,
which was awesome sauce. No picture to show for it though :(

Line for the coveted wristbands. The barricaded area is where they
stuffed 250 legit wristband holders and some barricade jumpers.
For those of you who don't know, a wristband guaranteed you
that Rob and Reese would come close enough for pictures
and some autographs. It did not mean you'd get into the movie premiere,
despite being repeatedly told by staffers to "hang in there" because
there was more to come, only to be told after the actors had
gone inside the theater that they were sorry things hadn't
worked out for them to get us inside for the premiere.
Most of us were never expecting to, so the disappointment
came after they got our hopes up. They would have been
better off to surprise us at the end than to have to apologize.

It really wasn't fair that I was right behind the girls
who waited outside in the rain all night for a wristband.

This is why it has taken me forever to post. The OCD in me wants the pictures to be in chronological order. I tried. But when I uploaded them, they shifted. When I try to rearrange, they get uncentered. The text spaces out weird, etc. Since this is all old news for all of you anyway, I'm going to stop trying to fix it and just post. It's driving me insane(r).

Before Rob made it to where we were at, I had prepared myself with this mantra:

cell phone, camera, pockets, look

My plan was to take a few pictures with my cell phone, a few with my camera, put them in the pockets of my jacket, and then just look. I wanted to "be in the moment" and remember it...always.

I've only had one dream about Rob (Mrs. P will remember this). I was across the street behind a barricade with other fans watching him, of all things, filming The Bad Mother's Handbook. It was the scene where he's walking down the sidewalk following the girls. I vividly remember that there was no sound. I couldn't hear anyone else around me. All of my attention was focused on him.

Maybe I have a bit of Alice in me, because that was very close to how it was for me. I was standing with other fans behind a barricade and when Rob came into view, a hush came over the crowd. I don't think I was saying my mantra of "cell phone, camera, pockets, look" out loud, but I might have been. I forgot who was around me. It was just me and Rob. Then I heard it...in isolation...his beautiful voice saying "Thank you" to fans in response to whatever they had said to him. It wasn't frantic. It wasn't like I was going to pass out (something I seriously thought might happen when I imagined how it would all go).

I. Was. In. The. Moment.

My mantra worked.

Cell.

Camera.

Pockets.

Look.

Except for one minor detail.

I should have looked down while I was putting the camera in my pocket, because in refusing to take my eyes off the prize, I missed the pocket and the camera crashed to the ground. *shrugs*

No words necessary.

I did go and watch some videos from that day and have to laugh when I hear people screaming and yelling Rob's name because I totally blocked it out that day.

I was a fan of Reese's long before Water for Elephants. Getting to know her even better as a result of following the filming of and the press junket for Water for Elephants made me damn proud to be a fan. She's the real deal.

I/We were so happy for her. Pretty sure those animal ears mean
that Mary and Sandy are nearby. Lior had me take a picture of the
picture on her camera so she could tweet it. (I spy 17...twice!)

After the red carpet was over, we got something to eat and then went back to our room to pack up and literally get a few hours sleep. Sandy was on a mission. Have I told you already that she's my hero? She had done some major recon to give us the best chance to get standby tickets for LIVE! with Regis and Kelly. What did her sources tell her? We needed to be there really, really, REALLY early.

While stretching my legs and taking a walk around the side
of the building, I found this awning. Had to tweet it to Icy.

After hours of waiting, two lines had formed. One for people with tickets and one for people hoping to get standby tickets, which is the line we were in. When we arrived at the studio early that morning, there was one couple already in line and then the four of us (me, Mary, Sandy, and Sandy's sister Donna). Those of you who have met us already know that we're a chatty bunch. It didn't take us long to convince our new friend Mary Lou that she had found "her people." By the time we were heading into the studio, she was armed with email addresses and ff recs :)

As it turned out, they only took seven standby people inside to view the show. Seven. Mary Lou and her husband were two, the four of us made six, and the two best friends behind us were split up to make seven. I felt bad for them, especially when I ran to the bathroom and came back to find out that my group had already been taken inside the studio along with one of the best friends who had been standing behind me. If I had stopped to put on lip gloss, I would have missed my window. I thought I was going to throw up until the staffer said that he thought they were coming back for me because my friends had pleaded on my behalf. (Did I mention they are my heroes?) I was literally escorted in just before the show went live and was the last seat in the studio.

Regis was on vacation that week, which was perfectly fine with me. Seth Meyers from Saturday Night Live was the guest host, and he was awesome. I could see him replacing Regis easily.

I know people say this all the time, but it's true.

I am a huge American Idol fan and Paul McDonald was on the show too. He had just been voted off AI that week. He did admit that he was dating Nikki Reed and, as most of you know, they have since become engaged. Paul looked and sounded amazing.

When the show with Rob was over, Gelman told us to remain in our seats because they were going to be recording a segment for the next day's show. The buzz around the room was immediate. We knew it had to be Reese. So Seth Meyers said goodbye, Kelly changed her clothes, and they brought out a new guest host, NFL football player Michael Strahan. So we got to hear two monologues as well.

our standby line buddy! Mary Lou and her husband just met up
with Sandy and her husband in Toronto to see 100 Monkeys.
They managed to get pictures of Jackson outside the venue
just walking around. (I heard him say in an interview that he
couldn't find the back entrance, which is why he ended up
walking around where the fans were. He said they were very sweet.
Well of course they were.) Mary Lou is also going to Comic Con
next week, so I am looking forward to seeing her again.

As most of you know, MotUII ended recently. *collective sigh* I got several emails and tweets after the last chapter posted, asking if I was okay. I have been pretty vocal about my love of this story.

MotU was the first "big" ff story that I read. It took relentless pleading from Dangrdafne and Twilight Cupcake, as well as Biel's epic video (here), to convince me that I needed to read it. I'm sure DD and TC had NO idea I would become Fifty Shades of ~~f*cked up~~ obsessed. They also didn't know it would ruin me for other "big" stories. I feel like I'm cheating on Fifty ;)

Speaking of the one-year anniversary tribute, I may or may not have stressed out a little bit over the MotU Quiz Contest hosted by Twilight Cupcake. I am nowhere near the graphic designer that TC and so many others are, but it doesn't stop me from trying. As you can see from the anniversary graphic I did above, I love making twitter avis. When I first introduced myself to TwiKiwi in the comments at Twitarded, it was to tell her that I loved her blogger name, which at the time was I_heart_Fifty. Since then, I have watched her blossom into a blogger in her own right, and I have designed twitter avis, blog banners, etc., for her. With her blog being named TwiKiwi, a change to her blogger/twitter name was called for. It pained her so much that she had her followers give her suggestions on what she should change it to. The winner was TwiKiwi50...a shout out to both her loves :)

So when TK50 (yeah, we even have nicknames for nicknames - lol) emailed me and asked if I thought a thank you to Icy for MotU was in order, you know I was all over it like Fifty on Bella in the RRoP. When she asked me to make a blog badge (top of the post) and twitter avi for the event, I was more than happy to do so. Another very, very, VERY cool part about this whole journey is being a part of a fandom that is beyond generous . . . to each other and to great causes. The Fandom Gives Back helps raise money for Alex's Lemonade Stand in an effort to battle childhood cancer. We're talking nearly $150,000 raised in 2010 alone!! A big chunk was raised by fans bidding on a MotU outtake written by Icy and told from EPOV. You can check out all of the details about The Fandom Gives Back here. April's spotlight was Autism. May's spotlight is Cystic Fibrosis.

It is through last year's FGB fundraiser that I first "met" Squally and Hoot. They were also a part of the one-year anniversary tribute. Hoot designed a spectacular blog to host the tribute. (It is no longer a public site or I would provide you with the link.) As I told Squally and Hoot, I don't think of MotU without thinking of them. Many of you will also recognize Hoot's name from Icy's thank you's at the beginning of MotU updates.

So I contacted them because I knew they didn't have blogs and wanted to give them the opportunity to participate today. Now that I have rambled on way too long (shocker, I know!), I will hand it over to the girlz. Just a few more words. Just a few. LOL! I was blown away when they each sent me their contributions. Φ ∼ First chapter and there is a cold and Fifty Shades may be old and our heroine is quickly told “...I’m sorry. It took nine months to get this interview... go... I don’t want you to be late.”

Ι ∼ It quickly goes from bad to worse as clumsiness is her curse she’s nothing like the blondes that work. Perhaps he likes them or it’s a quirk, but who cares? He’s such a jerk.

Φ ∼ Fuck he’s hot and young but then to say “... Have you had to sacrifice... Are you gay...” The way he acts as though it’s his game. The things he says as though to tame. His mannerisms and the way he looked. I know by now that I am hooked.

Τ ∼ Then at work. Who could it be? Oh gosh! Oh my! It is... Fifty. She tries to help as best she can but she’s hot and flustered over this man. Fifty Shades, the one, the same. Infatuated but who can blame?

Ψ ∼ Yesterday he gave his card now a photo shoot, this could be hard. To get the shots they do all they can. Set up, lighting at the Heathman. The way he looks, the inclination. When it’s over an invitation.

Σ ∼ ”Shit!” he says as he saves the day. He doesn’t do girlfriends and says he’s not gay. She’s breathing heavy but something’s amiss. The way he’s staring at her, yet will not kiss. A thousand questions he asked over tea. There’s longing, I know it, or perhaps that’s just me.

Η ∼ Heaving my chest as she walks away. I want them together but it won’t be today. Thank goodness for young girls who dial from booze. Commanding his speech and he just will not lose. “I’m coming to get you.” He comes, he saves her from the friend with the “look”. I’m beginning to see that he’s the king to her rook.

Α ∼ Awakened. Realisation that she spent the night. Fifty checking on her that she is alright. An orange juice left to quench her thirst. He slept with her – SLEPT in the bed and it was a first?

Δ ∼ Don’t even know, just what to say as he flies her to his place at the end of the day. A books worth of legal and an NDA. WTF is his secret. God! Red Room Of Pain!

Ε ∼ Ever the optimist as her virginity realised. He’ll fix it. He’ll solve her and have his way between her thighs. But he’s out of his depth, the rules are all gone as he passionately takes the breath of this swan.

Σ ∼ Sign? To control what to eat, when to sleep, how to dress? Her passion for him leads her to a mess. She must speak her mind before she can fade. His response, quiet politeness “Good point. Well made.” Now Fifty will own me the rest of the day.

It’s been a great ride reading this story, Icy. It won’t be forgotten of that I am certain.

I love, love, LOVE to play games. Pretty sure I cut my teeth on a Monopoly game board. My sister and I were TorTured for years by our dad. We could never beat him at Monopoly. We definitely get our competitive streak from him. Well we showed him! We went and had kids and raised them to be competitive game players too. He hasn't won since ;)

I'm also the person at showers who likes to play Baby Bingo and How Well Do You Know The Bride? My kids' childhood friends still come over to my house every few months for a game night, and family get togethers wouldn't be complete without playing board games.

The couch over at Robmusement is pretty comfy.

Last night we toasted UberVamp with some Stoli,

swapped Rob pictures, and shared our favorite music.

Even RobArt threw back a few pints with us.

In Loving Memory of UberVamp

It all started with an email from kiTT at Tongue Twied with the subject line "Brace yourself." I never expected to open it and find out that someone in our fandom had passed away, someone so many of us had connected with.

Many of you have asked what happened exactly. From tweets her cousin sent about her accident to confirmation from an email forwarded to another blogger, I know that she fell down some stairs and had a concussion and a broken leg. While in the hospital for observation, she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. She was only 23, the same age as my kids, which is another reason it has hit me so hard. I look at my kids and all their hopes and dreams for the future, hopes and dreams I want to watch them achieve. As a mother, there could be nothing worse than losing a child. My heart breaks for Aini's mother and what she must be going through.

My first memory of UV is in the comments on TwiBite. From there, one thing led to another, and we were exchanging emails, tweets, and tumblr posts.

The first email I got from her came from an address I didn't recognize. This is what she typed at the bottom: Please excuse my gmail username. I opened this acct. when I was in my anime freak mode. I still am but my Robsession is stronger :)

Those of us who "knew" her know that statement to be true. Her Robsession was very strong, but she wasn't selfish. She loved sharing it with us. She cared enough to remember which Rob versions were our favorites.

She sent me Beanie Rob pics and pics of Rob with a guitar. When she discovered that I had a little thing for Jacksper and Robward, she was hooking me up with gifs, manips, and links to tumblr accounts she thought I would like.

She was embraced by Bleriana and the girls at The Cold Shower...the same group that gave me an honorary #VPP membership despite my old age ;) Following and/or participating in their twitter convos always made me smile.

As I read each heartfelt post, tweet, and email paying tribute to her, I am once again reminded of how proud I am to be a part of this fandom. If anything, this tragedy has brought us closer together,

Please Be More Than Just a Rumor

Yes, I subscribe to Google alerts for Robert Pattinson (and more recently Jackson Rathbone). Most of the time I skim and delete because it's gossip I could care less about. Lately, though, there has been one rumor that keeps showing up that I can't help but hope is more than just a rumor.

You all know by now how I feel about Rob's music. *points to banner* So when I keep reading things like "Robert Pattinson Wants to Play Jeff Buckley," my stomach does a somersault. It would effectively kill two birds with one stone . . . Rob could record more music without feeling like he's traded in on his instant fame, and I/we would get to actually SEE him singing and playing a guitar . . . of course, it would also kill this big bird too. What a way to go though.

Please tell me you could see it.

Sexhair, jawporn, scruff, white t, plaid shirt . . . just sayin'.

There could even be parts for the Brit Pack.

Please tell me you could hear it.

Take a Walk With Me

When I was in the theater watching New Moon and it got to this part, I whispered...loudly... "No, Bella. Don't do it!" I mean, come on. I read the book. I watched the entire break-up scene when it was leaked on the internet. I knew nothing good was going to come from taking that walk.

Ironically enough, this is Mrs. P's favorite scene in the movie.

*shakes head*

But breaking up with Edward wasn't the beginning of the end for Bella. It was the beginning of a journey that would transform her from a human into a vampire so she could live happily ever after.

So you can imagine my hesitation when Mrs. P asked me to take a walk with her. I followed her, hoping like hell she'd at least kiss me on the forehead before she said goodbye. She did more than that, but I'm not a kiss-and-tell kind of girl ;)

Yep. Ricky Gervais is hosting the Golden Globes again this year, which means he'll be sharing screen time with Rob tomorrow night. I wonder if he'll bring it up in the monologue. (That doesn't sound quite right.) Maybe I'll watch the show to find out. Oh who am I kidding. I'll be watching, DVRing, and hanging around on twitter with the rest of you . . . waiting to see Rob's ~~Golden Globes~~ tux.

So we all know Rob was filming re-shoots for Water for Elephants yesterday. I can't help but wonder if his hair will be the color of Robowski or Robward. The sad part is having to think about it at all. Why they had to darken Rob's hair to play Edward is beyond me.

Since I have been a part of this fandom, there has been one person who has been a constant, one person who has never, ever waivered from her purpose. She has never pretended to be anything other than what she is...Rob's #1 fan. That's right. I said it. Out loud. Most of you won't be surprised to know that the person I'm talking about is Jeanette from RobMusement.

There has never been a day where she has missed posting. She showers us with robp0rn on twitter. She runs and/or helps run multiple blogs. She creates beautiful picspam. She organizes collaborative blog posts. She does a Best of Week post every week that when I'm a lazy blogger (a lot lately, obviously) keeps me up to date with what's going on in the Robverse.

She has patience for days. I know this because she has been beyond patient with me. Every time I've asked her a techy question, she's answered with "Glad to help, babe." Every time I've asked her another silly collab post question, she's answered with "No problem, babe." Every time I've asked her if she still loves me even though I give a crapsten, she's answered with "Stand in front of the bus with kiTT, babe." I kid. I kid! Not to say she hasn't thought it ;)

Jeanette, I love you. I love your big heart. I love your respect for Rob. I love that you love me despite my flaws...the biggest of which is being late...for everything...just like doing this post. (You're thinking that's not my biggest flaw right now, aren't you?)

You Brought a Snack

Last Friday, I went with Travis's girlfriend to see Burlesque. If you haven't seen it yet, go! If you've already seen it, do like we're going to do and go again! It's that good.

I can't say enough about Christina Aguilera's performance in the movie.

She is at the center of the story and carries it well.

She looks so much prettier without the bleach blonde hair imho.

Cher's voice was stronger than ever.
It was great seeing her back on the big screen, too.

Stanley Tucci was fantastic as her sidekick in the movie.

Then there was our very own Cam Gigandet.
He was very, very charming and sexy.

The next time I go to see the movie, I'm going to say,

"You brought a snack," when Cam and the infamous

cookie box make their appearance onscreen ;)

You know I promised no post of mine would be without Rob.

Speaking of Rob, we all know he wasn't named People's Sexiest Man Alive again this year. It's my theory that People is waiting for him to grow up and get some street cred. Well, by this time next year he will be 25. They can throw out the age argument. He will have had three movies come out: Bel Ami, Water for Elephants, and Breaking Dawn Part 1. Water for Elephants has two Academy Award winners and one Academy Award nominee sharing screen time with Rob. They can throw out the street cred argument.

If he's not named their Sexiest Man Alive next year, I am storming People's headquarters. I know kiTT and Bleriana are with me, so clear your calendars for November 2011 just in case.
