Wet Wednesday

Yes, Rob, I think you're going to need your umbrella.
You wouldn't want to get your Kindle wet.

Rob doesn't go anywhere without some reading material.

And can we just stop a moment and admire His Holy Hotness?
I can't tell you how much I am loving the period costumes.
And why is Rob wearing a wedding ring so damn sexy?!

All of these pictures come from my favorite site for following the making of the movie Bel Ami, Bel Ami Film. Click here to go to the site or on the banner on my sidebar under "Rob's Projects."

Speaking of reading and Rob's upcoming projects, the same girls running the Bel Ami site have started a sister site, Water for Elephants Film, for the next film Rob will be filming with Reese Witherspoon. Once again, you can click here to go to the site or on the banner on my sidebar.

The WFE site has announced that Rob My World will be hosting a book club discussion. They are also running a contest where you can win a paperback copy of the book.

I encourage you to sign up to follow these sites and all of their sister sites. I, for one, have never done a book club discussion before and can't wait.

DreamySim1 of In My Dreams has some beautiful Bel Ami wallpapers. Click here to view more of her awesome work.

Rob's all dressed up and has somewhere to go.

*sigh*

Q: What do rabbits have that nothing else in the world has?

A: Baby rabbits.

Holidays for me are all about family. My husband and I are lucky to have both of our families living close by, so we got to see everyone this Easter weekend without having to drive longer than 20 minutes. Told you I was lucky!

We went to Mass this morning with my husband's side of the family. As with most holiday Masses, there are lots of kids in attendance. Some are content to eat Cheerios or color, while others are a little more "vocal." All of it makes me smile and get a little teary all at the same time. I miss the days when my kids were that little. The privilege of being a parent is something I thank God for every single day of my life.

For as long as I can remember, all I wanted to be was a wife and mother. I am sure it had everything to do with the wonderful parents I was blessed with. They taught me unconditional love, and I wanted to pass that on to children of my own. My husband and I dated off and on all through high school, got engaged when I was 17 and he was 19, and married when I was 18 and he was 20. Keep in mind, that was almost 30 years ago. Times are a little different now. Ugh! You have no idea how old that makes me feel saying that.

There was never a doubt that we would start a family after we got married. Good thing we weren't in a big hurry. It was five years before our daughter was born. Two years of not being able to get pregnant turned into fertility testing, etc., etc., before I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis. Two months after having an outpatient procedure to eliminate the scar tissue caused by the endometriosis, I was pregnant. You have never seen anyone do a happy dance like the one we and our families did upon hearing the news.

I loved every single minute of being pregnant. Absolutely loved it. One month before my due date, I quit my job in anticipation of being a stay-at-home mom. Exactly on my due date of December 4, 1985, our beautiful baby girl was born. At the time, I thought I had come up with a completely original name for her. We liked names like Jessica and Erica. My husband's only sibling, a brother, is named Dan. So I came up with Danica. Of course, since then we have learned of a few others with that name, most notably Danica Patrick.

Fast forward 24 years. There have been dance recitals, piano recitals, softball games, volleyball games, highs, lows, tears, and laughter, but most of all . . . love. She is a tomboy, a fierce competitor, and wears her heart on her sleeve – like her mom. She is a hard worker, loves the outdoors, and stubborn – like her dad.

Meet my oldest baby rabbit ; )

(have played softball together for 11 years)

Flag Football Game with Co-Workers
(only girl on the field; everyone else was bundled up
and sitting on the sidelines – love it!)

Touring Lambeau Field
(She's only 5'2".)

St. Louis
(She was there for a St. Louis Rams football game with her boyfriend,
Scott, but I like to pretend she was there for a St. Louis Cardinals
baseball game. She and her boyfriend are Boston Red Sox fans.
Thought I raised her better than that. Go figure. It's hard to tell,
but she is wearing a Guns 'N Roses t-shirt.)

Travis, Danica, and Carlos
(She bartends part time. Carlos is from Puerto Rico and
became a very good friend of Travis's at junior college.)

Danica and friends since grade school
(after Travis's baseball game – to the right of Travis)

Danica with her cousin, Ty, and Travis
(at my oldest niece's wedding)

Hope you had a nice weekend, too!

Just for shits and giggles

Life is too short not to laugh, right? Exactly.

There is a whole series of videos by TooVamptastic on YouTube
done Family Guy style. Here are two of my favorites.

Kristen gets the last laugh on this video as two different photographers
fall down while trying to take pictures of her arriving at JFK.

I found this online one day looking for images of Rob (shocker, I know).

It prompted me to create this.

Damn her and her fade to black!

If you aren't familiar with Rifftrax, you need to visit Twitarded
and watch the Rifftrax videos posted there. Too funny!

Speaking of too funny, do yourself a favor and check out this new blog: Tongue Twied. It won't
take you long to get caught up on all her posts. I promise you, every one of them is full of WIN –
so much so, that I'm willing to forgive her a few things *coughsheisnotabigrobstenfancough*.

I am also loving Musing Bella's blog called Cheaper Than Therapy.

And a big welcome to smartEpantz who just launched
her brand new blog called Take Some E.

If you're still with me, I'll leave you with this. It's the video I made about
my Pocket Edward's adventure with Mrs. P at TwiBite's avi.

I know, I know. I said I was leaving you with that video. But if you
are into Pocket Edward, visit the blog Living with Edward.
It makes me laugh...out loud...every time she posts!!

Remember Rob

Remember when we said we couldn't wait to see
Rob looking like Rob instead of a pale vampire?

Remember when we were drooling over the
videos and pictures during filming in NYC?

Seriously! How tiny is she?!

Remember when the movie poster was released
and we thought it was so beautiful?

Remember when he finally went on the press junket
and we got awesome TV interviews and pictures?

Total win!!!!!

Remember when Kristen attended the
LA premiere to support her man?

Couldn't resist.

Remember when it finally opened in theaters?

I was following my son's college baseball team
on their spring training trip when the movie was
released. I saw it at this small theater in Arkansas.

So what happened? I've talked to a lot of you who haven't seen the movie yet. I know the ending is controversial, and I understand the heightened emotions surrounding it. I wish I was a better writer and could tell you all the reasons why you should see it, though. Luckily, I know someone who is.

I urge you to read the review written by SuzsPetals and reconsider. Thank you, Suz, for writing such a thoughtful review and for allowing me to link back to it: 'Remember Me' breaks the vampire out of his coffin by SuzsPetals.

Remember Rob

On a side note, Suz also has an awesome fanfic story that she is writing. It's not like anything else I've read, meaning it's not your smut-for-the-sake-of-smut story ; ) It has an engrossing plot and is so well written. Check out "The Family Business" here.

 *fingers crossed*

Second, I am Team Rob.

Vanity Fair
(deleted scenes only)

Ring of the Nibelungs
(voice dubbed)

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

The Haunted Airman

The Bad Mother's Handbook
(available on YouTube in 8 parts)

The Summer House
(12-minute short, not released)

How to Be
(DVD extras are priceless!)

Remember Me
(Please support Rob and see this movie!)

Bel-Ami (filming)

Water for Elephants (signed on)

And third, I am Team Travis.

My son turned 22 on Friday. He spent the day doing what he loves – pitching. He pitched a complete game and recorded his college baseball team's first conference win of their young season. He had been sick all week, so we didn't think he would pull it off, but he did. It was the best way to spend his birthday : )
