Well, it finally happened. My real life collided with my blogging life. It was awesome! I found Mama Cougar through
Twitarded when I first started blogging. MC and I bonded over blogging, Rob, and living in Illinois.
I had read about and seen pictures of MC's Twilight DVD Release Party, so when she invited me to attend the one she was hosting for New Moon, I jumped at the chance. It was everything I had hoped it would be and more. Those of you who have already been lucky enough to meet fellow Twihards know what I'm talking about. You get the chance to hang out with people who get it/you.
With MapQuest directions in hand, I made the three-hour trek to the small, rural town that is home to The Cougar's Den. It looks a lot like the small, rural town of Taylor Ridge that I live in.
Having 17 in the population number was a "good sign." LOL!
Here is MC's video about the party preparations and
the specific contents of our incredible swag bags.

Papa Cougar was unbelievable! He ran for the pizza, made sure
our drinks were always refilled, took pictures for us, etc., etc.

here to read more about him and see pictures
from last year's Twilight DVD Release Party.
The early crew – our group doubled before the night was over.
Our toast to @VitaminR70 with Charlie's drink of choice
Our Jell-O shot toast to Robward
Pocket Edward found something he liked.
Look closely at the receipt. Our pizza was
ordered by none other than Bella Swan ; )
The infamous room!
Bella (panting after Robward, I'm sure)
Our Jell-O shot toast to New Moon
Mary getting ready to replace the Forks DVD with New Moon.
She bought the Walmart special edition DVD btw.
Rules of our drinking game. Papa Cougar was busy handling refills!
Who knew drinking every time we saw plaid would be what did us in.
The plaid count started immediately with the Remember Me trailer.
Completely forgot it would be included on the DVD. If you haven't
seen Rob's performance in this movie yet, you're missing out. Go!
It's time, it's time, it's time!
She moaned, he moaned, we all moaned ; )
Edward: Marry me.
Bella: *gasp*
Us: *applause*
Then we watched the special features, which included behind-the-scenes footage and a sneak peak of Eclipse. Mary and I totally FREAKED OUT when we saw Rob running with his beanie on. One more reason I love her – she loves Rob's beanie!! (I watched some of New Moon with the commentary turned on with Mary before I left this morning, and it was very interesting and funny. Can't wait to listen to all of it.)
I can't thank Mary and her family enough for hosting the party and taking me into their home. We are already making plans to meet half way to watch The Runaways together, and I look forward to many more "play dates."
Eclipse Behind-the-Scenes and Sneak Peek Video
I watched this video again this morning at
Our Life On No List, and they wanted to know what we thought about the footage. I am posting the video here and asking you the same question. My random observations are listed below.
– Love the way Rob says Beller.
– Hate hearing Mike Welch saying that this movie is going to be darker, which is why they got David Slade. Darker than New Moon? Let's hope not!
– Love Rosalie's hairstyle, especially the braid.
– I wish Rob had gone barefoot instead of wearing the short black socks while running, but still love it/him.
– Anyone else think it's gross that Taylor catches grapes thrown by people who probably haven't washed their hands recently?
– 3:36 mark – Looks like Kristen is wearing Rob's shirt. LOL!
– Jackson's hair looks better in most of the scenes, too. THANK GOD!
– I love listening to the entire dialogue between Bella and Edward, but hearing Robward whisper "I've told you" gives me shivers.
Last, but not least, Amy from
missamyjoon designed my current banner. Thanks, Amy!!!
