Remember Rob

Remember when we said we couldn't wait to see
Rob looking like Rob instead of a pale vampire?

Remember when we were drooling over the
videos and pictures during filming in NYC?

Seriously! How tiny is she?!

Remember when the movie poster was released
and we thought it was so beautiful?

Remember when he finally went on the press junket
and we got awesome TV interviews and pictures?

Total win!!!!!

Remember when Kristen attended the
LA premiere to support her man?

Couldn't resist.

Remember when it finally opened in theaters?

I was following my son's college baseball team
on their spring training trip when the movie was
released. I saw it at this small theater in Arkansas.

So what happened? I've talked to a lot of you who haven't seen the movie yet. I know the ending is controversial, and I understand the heightened emotions surrounding it. I wish I was a better writer and could tell you all the reasons why you should see it, though. Luckily, I know someone who is.

I urge you to read the review written by SuzsPetals and reconsider. Thank you, Suz, for writing such a thoughtful review and for allowing me to link back to it: 'Remember Me' breaks the vampire out of his coffin by SuzsPetals.

Remember Rob

On a side note, Suz also has an awesome fanfic story that she is writing. It's not like anything else I've read, meaning it's not your smut-for-the-sake-of-smut story ; ) It has an engrossing plot and is so well written. Check out "The Family Business" here.

I like Tyler better than Edward, especially after NM Edward. Maybe Edward can redeem himself in Eclipse.

Can't wait to see him play other "human" roles

Awesome. Love that you added the KStew pic! I will read her review tonight, once NST BF has GONE TO BED...wish he'd go now so I could catch up on blogs. So many blogs, so little time. xoxo

Ok, the last pic of Rob knocked me over. I never saw that one before. wow. I will be checking out the ff rec. I love a good well written ff! But who doesn't?
ps. Emilie Deravin is tiny! I can't believe she is 28. I'm going to be 28 in 2 weeks and I don't look like that! Who do I write my complaint letter to? lol

"Seriously! How tiny is she?!" --My thought exactly when you posted that picture! And then I had to look it up and lol we're about the same height. Emilie de Ravin really grew on me after seeing RM (twice actually) so now she's on my watch list. Who hasn't seen it by now?? Honestly, I wasn't expecting too much out of RM and I had an inkling about the ending because I accidentally read a spoiler about it over the summer. It turned out to be an engaging watch, and there were a lot of little moments I enjoyed. Amy and I have discussed it to some length, I better not start on it again here!

Matt Lauer did us both in Suz. If anyone cares what I have to say about Remember Me, you can read it here.

Yes, SFT and I have chatted at length about it, so I don't want to start that up again. All I'll say is that RM had major potential, but it didn't meet my expectations on many levels. Still, I think it's a good movie and am glad I saw it on the big screen.

Man, here I was catching up on my blogroll, trying to be brief cuz I'm so fucking exhausted and I still want to try to do other shit tonight, and you have to post some shit that is gonna make me run off at the mouth!! Not that it's a challenge to get me to run off at the mouth...
Lisa, I really enjoyed RM for alot of reasons: Rob is mesmerizing, no vampy makeup, sex scenes (helloooooo???). I had no idea how the movie ended, or even what the plot was until I saw it on the bigscreen. I know someone will probably want to beat my skull in with a blunt object for saying this, but I thought the ending was perfect. It was poignant, and IMHO the whole fucking purpose behind the movie. You never know WTF is around the corner. Love while you can. Remember Me.
9/11 was a tragedy and I don't mean to sound insensitive to those who were directly impacted.
But...aren't we supposed to learn from shit like this???
I will buy the DVD but I doubt I will watch it often, though I will watch the sex scenes hard, and repeatedly.

This is the second time today that I've been recc'd SuzPetals fics...I'm off to check that shit.

xoxo

Hey Lisa

I need to see this movie still. It wasn't playing in hong kong. She mid tiny compared to him. I wonder if shorties like me, Twired Jen, and Mrs P would look the same next to him. Okay that has a self serving manip written all over it.

@mmMoxie I agree with you.....I like Rob better as Tyler. Of course I love Rob as Edward, but I can appreciate him more as a regular guy. He is so much more relatable. Hell, I would love Rob if he just stood and stared at a camera for 2 hours...I would pay good money to see that! So what I am talking about! LOL
Anyway, I really loved Remember Me.

I liked Remember Me, a lot. I've seen it twice so far, and hope to see it again with my Twi-bff's F-Kat and Twilove1. It was really interesting to me how the ending really polarized people. It seemed to be East Coast (still tortured) vs. West Coast (insensitive louts). Being an insensitive lout from the West, I thought it was very tastefully done and not leaching off of a tragedy to get a bigger reaction from the audience. So there.

Definite DVD purchase!

I think I had something else to say but after looking at Beanie Baby I just don't Remember.

@mmMoxie - Definitely better than Emo Edward. I think we're going to have to enjoy Eclipse because if/when Breaking Dawn ever gets made, we'll have more Emo Edward I'm afraid, not to mention WAY to much of the damn dog's POV. Ugh! I am beyond excited for Bel Ami. I love period pieces and Rob looks like one fine period piece of ass in the pictures being released from the film sets ;)

@TwiredJen - Had to find a way to get one in there. LOL!

@Living With Edward - I do hope you check out her story. It's reads like a mystery and has me wanting to know what's going to happen next, which is what a well-written story should do. You definitely wouldn't know Emilie is 28. She was totally believable as a college student close to Rob's age. Happy early birthday btw!! I'm sure you look fabulous :)

@sparkle for twilight - Well you are a tiny thing then, too. I swear Rob has to be taller than 6'1". He always seems so much taller than everyone else. I hadn't seen Emilie in anything before this movie, but I thought she was great in it. She did a good job of showing a lot of emotion with her eyes. Of course, she was staring into Rob's half the time, how could she not ;) I cannot believe how many people I've talked to who haven't seen RM yet :( As soon as I figured out from people's comments that something bad was going to happen, I tracked down the script. I avoid sad movies. I want happy endings. I needed to read it to get prepared. I'm not at all sorry that I did. I still cried my eyes out, but I would have been gutted had that happened without me knowing it was coming. I am sure the conversations between you and Amy are very thought-provoking. You two seem well matched as bloggy besties :)

@smartEpantz - Sorry!! Didn't mean to push the right button, but I can see that I did. I agree with you, big time! So excited that you know have your own blog to rant on. Can't wait to watch it Evolve :)

@twilightcupcake - Hi! Welcome back from Hong Kong. So glad you had a safe trip and lots of memories to cherish. At 5'6", I would like a giant with you girls, too. Geez!

@Isabella MARIE Cullen - I'm not to proud to admit that I would pay money to watch Rob do that, too. LOL!

@Z Any Mouse - Well said. So there ;) I heard you got together with F-Kat and Twilove1 on Sunday to watch NM and the DVD extras. I'm sure you had another fun Book Club meeting!

@TongueTwied - LMAO!! So glad you love my Beanie Baby, too.

I just realized, Lisa, that we never "discussed" Remember Me after I saw it. sorry

I really loved the movie. I have posted this a few times but when I first realized what the ending was going to be (in the theater, I missed all the hints too) I at first decided I hated the movie for the ending it chose but then as the ending went on and I thought back over the movie, I ended up loving it again. I appreciated that the movie didn't sell itself on its ending and I felt that maybe they had the ending first and then built the story from there. There was an interview with the writer of the movie and it was very interesting and helped me like the movie even more. If I had the link I would add it but alas it is lost in the internet world.

I'm really disappointed & more than a little pissed at the Rob "fans" who couldn't be bothered to go see this movie yet. There is more to being a good fan than ogling hot pics. (Not that there's anything wrong with that & I do my fair share, believe me.) But, Rob works so hard on his projects and really deserves better from his fanbase. Really just don't understand some people.

@Dangrdafne - I'm so glad that you loved Remember Me! I heard Rob say in two separate interviews that the reason he stepped in late as an Executive Producer is that he didn't want anyone changing the movie. I can't help but believe that he was talking about the ending. I can only imagine what test audiences had to say about it if they hadn't read the script beforehand.

@spellbound - You totally get where I'm coming from. Mwah!!
