Rob is in Illinois!

Looks like Taycob forgot his step stool.

Today is the pretaping for the Oprah show to air on May 13th (Rob's birthday). He is literally three hours from my house and I'm not there :( I did get an email from someone who is, though. Marie at Twilight Junkies Anonymous will be in the audience for the taping, and this it was she had to say:

"I just got back from seeing Eclipse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was incredible.....way better than New Moon and, okay, maybe even better than Twilight. I will post details soon. I just got home from the movie, and have to get up at like 4 a.m. to get down to Harpo."

She will be posting more about her experience, so sign up to follow her blog for updates.

UPDATE: Marie's two-part post about her experience is ready. You can read about it here.

Her email (and now her post) gives me hope that with all of the rumors swirling around the movie, the director, the reshoots, etc., that it will be good. Eclipse is my favorite book in the saga, so I want/need it to be good. We'll be back to Emo Edward and more of the dog with Breaking Dawn, so I want to enjoy Eclipse Edward while I can.

I'm also hoping that my bloggy soul mate, Mary (aka Mama Cougar) at The Cougar's Den, gets her video aired during the show. (Sadly, no.)

Here is the first video she submitted.

This is the second video, as requested via email by an Oprah producer.
(The person she mentions that traveled from the Moline area is me.)

Speaking of Breaking Dawn, as most of you know, Stephanie Meyer was recently named as a producer for the final movie in the saga. My first thought? There goes any chance in hell of us getting anything other than a fade to black for the honeymoon scene. Remember this pic I did awhile back?

Just sayin'.

Don't worry, Rob. Pretty sure Steph will have something
to say about how this gets played out.

I have to give a special shout out to Kat at In the Land of Fantasy for my gorgeous new banner. Check out all of her work at her blog and sign up to follow her on twitter. Thanks again, Kat for your generosity. People like you and Amy at Miss Amy Joon, who designed my last banner, are too good to bloggers like me. My goal is to change it once a month *hint, hint* if anyone is feeling creative ;)

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Lisa, I think I felt a sad little ripple in the force when Rob left SoCal, but I'm glad you're just a mere 3 hours away in case he gets into a pinch and needs your help :) Mama Cougar, you're awesome!

Gah! That never even occurred to me but you are totally right that Stephenie Meyer will totally cock-block us - lol!!! Not that this movie was EVER going to be rated R anyway, but still. Ugh. Someone needs to write (and make) some screenplays using fanfic - not THAT i would buy! Uh, Rob will star, right??? RIGHT?!

You know what else I just thought of...as you well know Steph seems to have fallen for Jacob in that book and I'm concerned his damn point of view is going to showcase somehow...and unless he's staring at Edward that whole time I'm gonna be pissed.

Aah, the contrast between the US and the UK! Being 3hrs from somewhere over here is a big deal and a bit of a trek. Mary (Nikki) and Nibs only live 2.5hrs from London, but you'd never describe that as 'only' LOL!

Ok, so hearing these fans tweet about how great Eclipse is, is surely getting me super excited. Wonder when we'll see pics of the foursome in Chicago? Pics are bound to surface soon, right???

On another note, I so wish I didn't have to work at 1pm today. Otherwise I'd be participating in "Drinko de Mayo"...

Stephenie will get kicked out of her religion if she allows actual sex in BD. She'll have to join us at The Church of Latter Day Skanks.

I think I'm lovin' how the v-neck tees or sweaters are accentuating Rob's jawline.

Stephenie designed the ring and it wasn't so dead on to her own words in the book so maybe there is some wiggle room. maybe? I hope? Sh*t with our luck instead of showing Rob naked in the water they'll focus on the tree with clothes hanging off it.

So close, yet so far away. Lucky people who got to attend the show. According to Oprah.com, you can only attend her shows like once a "season" and that includes being the "lead" for tickets or going as a guest of the "lead". Geez why don't they just say once a year!

Love the banner!

@mmMoxie, say amen sista! LOL!
@MamaC, you rock lady!

That stinks, being so close to the Precious, but so far. Poo. I'm glad to hear those really good things about Eclipse. I was starting to worry too.

Thank so much for the shout out!!!!! Between my Rob hangover and these friggin computers in my house not cooperating, this blog post is taking forever. But I want to make sure I include all the details. Oh my God, I wish I could have taken pictures!!! I'll post the pics that we did take.

@Lisa - Sorry you couldn't seal the deal with the Precious this time around. There are always high hopes for someone actually bringing him to FFFFOOOOOORRRRRKKKKSSSS!!!

I LOVE the video from The Cougar's Den ladies!!! So flippin fantastic! I agree that with all the positive vibes coming from the (luckiest peeps on God's green earth)people who got to see an early version of Eclipse, I have high hopes that it will be all we've dreamed of (and more)! I loved Marie's blog post about her experience at O! I sooooo wish I could have been there. I think they would have seriously needed security and an EMT close...because I would have rushed the stage and I probably would have needed a defibulator!
