Speed Bump on the Road to Twiobservations

"Actually, there are eight of us,
but Bloggy almost never leaves the hut."

A male co-worker who shockingly (not) knows of my blogging and Robsanity, cut this Speed Bump comic strip out of the newspaper and gave it to me, saying he thought of me when he read it. I love my enablers : )

Speaking of enablers, I went to a Cubs/Cardinals game on Sunday with a girlfriend from work, my son, and his girlfriend. I didn't have my Twiobservations notes out in the open. Honest. But that didn't stop my enablers from pointing things out to add to my list.

My List:

1) We'll start with this one and use it as our Music to Scroll By. This song played at least 10 times during the course of our trip. There's a line in the lyrics that every time I hear it, I think she's saying, "I said I wouldn't come, but I lost all control..." Actually, she's saying call, but give it a listen and see what you think. It's probably just my mind in it's usual place – the gutter. (Sorry if you're reading this, Mom.) This of course made me think of the breakup scene in New Moon where Bella famously says, "I'm coming," and Edward replies, "I don't want you to come." Try watching it without laughing. Talk about a mood killer. I did a YouTube search and found a Twilight-themed video set to this song (shocker, I know), and it's really beautifully done.

2) Overpass column with the number 1217 painted on it. Of course I thought of itsjustme1217 at RobMusement.

3) Mini Cooper - what Kristen drives

4) License plate that said H2O 50 (Ok. It really said H2O 61, but I've got MotU on the brain.)

5) Playing on the radio: Lady Gaga's "Alejandro" where at one point she says Roberto, which made me think of Bleriana at The Cold Shower

6) Restaurant sign for Charlie's Place

7) Sign for Blackberry Historical Farm, which made me think of my BlackBerry background (and computer screensaver) designed by Amy at MissAmyJoon

8) My ticket stub: purchased on 3/17 (I spy 17); Seat 109 – age of my favorite vampire; Row 24 – favorite number of my son and my bloggy bestie Dangrdafne at Dangrdafne Days of Delirium

9) Met my girlfriend at the Chicago Premium Outlets mall in Aurora, IL, where she had been shopping with her sister-in-law. She picked the parking lot to meet at. I picked the row to park in.

10) Volvo dealership. 'Nuff said.

11) Subway station I've been by countless times on my way to Chicago, but this time it made me think of Remember Me.

Leigha's List:

1) Sign for Wolf Road
2) Scoreboard at the game that said, "Happy 60th birthday Carter Black!"
3) Sign for Jacob's Park.

Anyone else see a disturbing pattern here?!!

Travis & Leigha's List:

1) When we got back to the outlet mall after the game, we split up and walked around for a little bit before heading home. They spotted the Calvin Klein poster with Kellan on it. I was bummed they didn't get a picture of it.

Team Jacob AND a Cubs' fan?
Good thing she's so good to my son. LOL!

Jeanne's List:

1) No Twiobservations for Jeanne, but she is the one who bought me the Rob Cannes poster at her kids' book fair that I have at work : )

Lisa...so much to say. First, Rob in black in white in the faces of rob today is incredibly hot. Secondly, that video and song just melted me...it was awesome. Oh..the bloggy dwarf cracked me up! Since I am nowhere in the twiobservations I am going to pretend you knew my maiden name and thought of me when leigha spotted "Carter Black".

Ahhh Wet Wednesday - fond memories.

Thanks for the 24 shout out - it is my fave :) Glad I am infiltrating your world in other ways now - bwahahaha

Love the observations and that everyone is playing along in your life. That is really cool. I need to start doing this more often.

@Mrs. P (seems weird to call you that now, you know) - It's been almost a week since my last confession...er...blog post. I have another post ready to go (can you believe it?!) and the spotlight is shining on you in it. XXXOOO P.S.: I'm pissed that I didn't put the Carter together with you, btw.

@DD (same goes for you) - Thanks for helping me out tonight, as usual. Mwah!

@ 17foreverlisa - well as some wise old sage once said "you are getting older" - you can't expect to remember everything ROFLMAO!!!! Just teasing you of course! mwah

@DD - Pretty sure my exact words were, "It's hell to get old," and it is. LOL!!

Oh, Lisa, I love your Twiobservations. Mostly because they tell me that you have your priorities straight. LOL I have some Twiobservations at work when customers give me their deposit slips and I see there names. We have a customer named Edward Black. And a married couple named Edward and Rosalie. I always laugh when I see that one and makes me think what may have happened if Edward got to read Dangrdafne's "Shoulda Woulda Coulda" post. LOL

That Bloggy dwarf comic, hilarious! I think it was refering to me.

I am thrilled you thought of me!

How can you be from Illinois and root for the Cardinals!?

I love your Twi-observations, especially since they were the inspiration for my Robservations. I keep mine well hidden though. My mom almost outed me this weekend, but I kept it contained! I can't be thinking about these things all the time ;)

@LwE - Oh, yes, my family definitely thinks I have my priorities straight. LOL! I love your Twiobservatins at work. That reminds me that someone else who is not into Twilight at all, photocopied a purchase order and left it on my desk because it was signed by one Edward Cullen :)

@itsjustme1217 - I think of you every day :) I'm just sorry that the picture we took didn't come out. I actually saw it on the way there and remembered to look for it again on the way home. I slowed the car down as much as I possibly could on the interstate so that Travis could try and take a picture, but it came out all blurry :(

@Amy - I know, I know! My dad grew up close to the border of Missouri and a good friend's dad had season tickets to the Cardinals so he got to go to a lot of games and passed his love for them down to me and my sister. We lost my sister to the dark side, though, when she married a Cubs' fan. I made sure I married a Cardinals fan. You'll have to email me and tell me how your mom almost outed you if you don't want to say here. And I can't STOP thinking about these things all the time!

Lisa- I love your twiobservations as always. And did you say your sons gf is Team Jacob?! GASP! She is lucky she's so good to Travis. ;)

As for Rob and those WFE pics...WOW. He's just so SEXY. I mean he doesn't even have to try. I thought he looked good in the suit & white collared shirt pics, but then the wifebeater absolutely did me in. Thud.

xoxo J

@Jen - Thanks! Big GASP! on the Team Jacob gf. I should have screened her better when they started dating. LOL!! Seriously, though, I love her. She's a keeper.

I just can't get over the WFE set pictures. I died when I saw the wifebeater paired with the sexpenders. Then I turned to ash when I saw the white linen shirt paired with the shades. *sigh*

Lisa- Oops I forgot to mention the vid. LOVE IT!!! A while back I posted that black n' white Robsten vid w/ this song. The song goes much better with this particular vid you posted...because of the whole Edward/Bella relationship in New Moon :) Gives me goosebumps.

@Lisa - I hope you had a good time at the .....(gulp) Cubs game. Sorry, we're hardcore Sox fans in this house and I had a hard time getting that out. LOL

Wolf Road!!!!!! I live between Wolf Road and LaGrange - but I am WAAAAYYYY farther south.

The Speed Bump comic strip is perfect! I love it!

The sexpenders are freaking KILLING ME!!!! GAH!

Aurora Illinois! Thats near where I grew up :) Ahhh memories.

The new pics of Rob on the WFE set...DELISH! I'm a more excited about seeing that movie than Eclipse and Bel Ami put together. When does it come out?

I hope you had fun at the cubs/cards game! And BTW I live right by that Volvo dealership, drove past it everyday to get to class lol. I always notice Twi related things. I have been keeping track of number of NM Volvo's I have seen since the NM dvd release, I'm up to 74, sure its crazy but crazy fun too. Let's see there is also Taylor street, Wolf Road, a window cling on a truck that said "Got Bears" (they meant Chicago Bears; but I naturally thought of Emmett). I'm thinking I need to get out to the outlet mall in Aurora to get a pic of that CK ad. I could go on and on but I'll stop now :)

I hate to nit pick but your one pic is the "L" train not the subway, dont hate me lol, but I can see why it reminds you of Remember Me
