Fire and Ice

Well, this was supposed to have been my Wet Wednesday post. In the middle of working on it, I lost power for almost six hours due to an ice storm here in the Midwest. Thank God for my iPod Touch to help pass the time. Here's what I was working on.

I get home from work today and find out that they have given Remember Me a PG-13 rating. That announcement qualifies for an entry in my Wet Wednesday post due to the tear factor.

My inner kitty's reaction

My inner child's reaction

Rob's reaction

My take on the rating

Rob had talked to his people first...

and got this reaction.

Well, at least Summit's name isn't attached to Bel Ami.

Here's the basic plot if you're unfamiliar with it:

"A chronicle of a young man's rise to power
in Paris via his manipulation of the city's
most influential and wealthy women."

That has to be rated R, right?

Right, Rob?

Where are you going?

Crap.

Maybe not.

Back to ff, I guess. *sigh*

It's been awhile, so here's some music to scroll by
while we console ourselves with Wet Wednesday pics.

We have to start with some wet Rob.

Oh I love it when that boy sticks his tongue out. And I'm not sure if I'm going to go see Remember Me now. Oh who am I kidding? Stay safe in all that ice.

@CC - I still feel bad that my power shut off right in the middle of our Gmail Chat, and I left you hanging. Geez!

I was so pissed about the PG13 Rating, but I am positive we will get some heavy action in Bel Ami. That Manip of him on the floor is incredible. I love the green eyes they gave him!
I'm glad you survived the ice storm! I love your home in the snow, it looks so pretty.

@Mrs. P - I knew you'd love the green eyes :) Thanks for worrying about me. Glad there was no need for putting my picture on a milk carton. LOL!

LOL I love that you used a title from Eclipse (and I know that because just yesterday I was having an Eclipse book chat with my supervisor). You know Remember Me was given a PG-13 so all the little girls could still see Edward in another movie. I am excited to see it because I know little about it and purposefully so. I knew that the script was floating around in the summer but I don't want to spoil it!

@sparkle for twilight - Yes, I just finished listening to Eclipse in my car and that line is near the end of the book, so it was on my mind, especially with the ice storm we are experiencing. I'm not even going to tackle going in to work today. Our driveway is a sheet of ice. At some point, the production companies have to move on from Rob as Edward. I have the RM script and have read it because I needed to. I know that's not for everyone.

PG-13?! I am outraged!! *stomps foot* I was hoping this would be one movie where I wouldn't have to elbow my way through a bunch of 6th graders to get a good seat. Sigh.

@Lisa- I'm so glad you're doing OK. Mrs P was getting pretty antsy while you were MIA. Your house looks cool, but what's that white stuff on the ground? Love the Robpics - that brightened up my dreary morning big time!!! The music was fun too; we're total Gleeks at my house.

@Zany Mouse- I've got your back & will help you knock those teentwats out of the way when we go see RM

Is that really your house? If so, you weren't kidding about it being rural.
PS thanks for those mouth porn pics of Rob. Totally uplifted my crabby morning mood.
xo

@Z Any Mouse - I know! Well, since the rating came out after the movie was done filming, guess we're not going to see that sheet slip down any further than his waist :(

@Twilove1 - I love that Mrs. P worries about me like that :) I'm just glad I had given her a heads up earlier in the afternoon that we were expecting the ice strom with possible power outages, so at least she had a clue that might be the problem. You, Z, and F-Kat going to see RM together? SO jealous! My husband built our house, along with his dad and some other connections he had in the construction industry. He's been a Union carpenter, like his dad, for 31 years now. So no snow in Cali yet? LOL! And I love Glee. It's quirky, different, and just fun.

@Twired Jen - Yes that is really my house. There are actually 17 other homes in our subdivision and everyone has a least three acres of property. It beautiful, quiet, and was a great place to raise the kids. A bitch in the winter, though, that's for sure. Glad the pics gave you a lift. It's only fair that I should return the favor, because your site has been doing that for me :)

Lisa, your house is beautiful. The setting is gorgeous and it makes me miss the mainland, where all my family lives. :(

Well, I'm not surprised with Remember Me, but Bel Ami sounds hot, and I have an extremely weird attachment to all things French (I should have been born in France) so, I'm loving that it is set in Paris and involves Rob having to fornicate. Sounds yummy!

Lisa, sorry to hear about the crazy weather you're having back there. In N ID it's in the 40's & no snow.

Hey your house looks like it could be the Cullen house. What did you say your last name was? LOL

Pisser on the RM rating. I guess until you get away from Summit, that's what it will be. Looking forward to Bel-Ami too.

Lees--Yuck, more friggin' ice...we missed most of that, Thank goodness! Glad you are doing good and got power back. Our last outage was for almost two days!

Love Wet Wednesday, hate PG-13 ratings, and they have to make Bel-Ami an R-rating, it is way too seedy for PG anything...Duvoy's life was one big sex scandal...LOL

Hey Lisa been lurking awhile but never commented (hangs head in shame). Your house is gorgeous & all that beautiful family history. It's freezing in winter here too but no snow (have to drive about hour up mountain for that)& it's so funny to read about snow when it's about 110 (not joking) here (Aus) today. Remember Me makes me frustrated but I have read that there's heaps of rooting in Bel Ami & lot's of it is with OLDER women-WOO HOO!!

@Twilove1 - Are you bringing the samurai sword, or shall I?

AND thanks for pictures of Rob's tongue & him lying down. Mmmm....sorry what was I saying my mind is elsewhere....

Holy Gawd that manip is to to die for!!!!! It's one of the best I've seen!!!!

Hmph! I'm pretty bummed about that PG-13 rating for RM! I guess I can take my daughter to that one with me. I hope I will not be able to take her to Bel Ami!!!! LOL This weather totally sucks! I'm on the other side of the state....and we're getting it too. For cryin' out loud, either rain or snow, but this freezing rain blows! I think I just made a rhyme. Anyway, be careful out there. My driveway was a sheet of ice this morning.

Oh Lisa, tell me something. I'm actually in the middle of rereading Twilight (for the first time in almost a year!) and I'm also listening to it on audio. I was really against doing that because I didn't want someone else's voice in my head, but it's just easier than trying to hold a book open when you're jam packed on a train. Do you find that the narrator is somewhat annoying? The way she pronounces some of her "la's" is bothering me, bel-LAH she says, and what is with quil-LEH-yoot?

Vintage Fangirl said...

Oh, I especially find it annoying when she does Edward's voice saying Bella. I don't know why, but it really bugs me.

sparkle for twilight said...

@Isabella MARIE Cullen-- isn't it?? I knew it wasn't just me. She makes Edward sound...almost lecherous at times? Like whenever she does Edward saying Bella's name it sounds like he's going to add, "I'm going to suck your blood" in a really terrible Dracula accent.

I thought about you when I found out abut the PG-13 rating. Summit is such a cock tease!

Glad you are surviving the winter storms. Can you believe we have tornado warnings tonight in Phoenix? I hope we don't lose electricity.

You ready for Drunk Mad Libs tomorrow? I am ;)

@Lisa - I think your house is fabulous and am so impressed with your hubby's mad carpentry skills. Sorry you're too far away to join Z any Mouse, F-Kat and me for our book club! Next meeting is this Thursday night at the 100 Monkeys concert. Doesn't that sound fun?!

@Zany Mouse - I'll bring the pepper spray

Late, as usual. This has been a really off week for me. I've been housing a very nasty and unwanted tenant, E.Coli, and have also been extremely tired and sleepy. I forget things, like whether or not I took my medicine, and then I have to count the pills. Wtf! But I digress...

Is that really your house? It's beautiful. Yeah, I'm pissed about PG13 rating. Boo, Summit assholes. Can't wait for Bel Ami. Disappointed to see it coming out in 2011. Wtf! We need some skin sooner. Assholes, don't they fucking care about us?
