Twiobservations

Yesterday, I went to the musical Christmas program that my parents' church puts on each year. We've been going for several years now, and it has grown so much. They do multiple shows and bring in big crowds. It was another great show and, as always, I left filled with hope and the spirit of Christmas.

I also left with notes scribbled on the back of a receipt about what I saw during the show that reminded me of the Twiuniverse. For real. My nieces were laughing with me (they couldn't possibly have been laughing at me!) when they found out what I was doing.

It may or may not be a Walmart receipt. Just sayin'.

Here's your music to scroll by for today.

(It's beautiful in its simplicity and reminds me once again
why I love the Twilight soundtrack more than the
New Moon soundtrack. But that's another story.)

Thanks to greeneyedgirl!

Twiobservation #1 - Everyone who performed wore some variation of black, red, and white.

Twiobservation #2 - They performed Jingle Bells. Which, naturally, made me think of Stan's ff story Jingle Balls over at Twi-sted Edbrella.

Could you please try to control your jingling, this is a library!

Twiobservation #3 - When they performed Silent Night, the backdrop was black with hundreds of tiny, white lights shining through. Then they were spotlighted in a purple glow. It made me think of my bloggy friend StarlitViolets' avi.

peaceful purple fairy

Twiobservation #4:  They had dueling pianos. One pianist was dressed in a tux and played beautiful, classical music. Team Edward. The other pianist wore a loud dinner jacket and a big, furry wig (I can't make this shit up!). Team Jacob.

That's me on the left and Mrs. P at TwiBite on the right.
She's always showing off her paws. (And, yes. I kid. I kid.)

Twiobservation #5:  There was an instrumental song played and the video backdrop was showing a slow-motion tracking of the solar system. Of course my eyes and ears faded to New Moon.

This is just so much prettier than a pic of the moon.

Twiobservation #6 - The grand finale had fake snow falling from the ceiling and drifting onto the stage. And what true Twitard wouldn't see this:

Twiobservation #7 - Did I mention that the piano player in the tux was adorable and had Robward hair?

Um. Yeah. Musicians are hot.

Happy Sunday!

First of all, your "music to scroll by" had me mesmorized and i had to immediately stop scrolling. What an awesome video.

I would NEVER wear a team Jacob t-shirt...I think you know that...you prankster you.

I think Twilight has entered the brains of everyone in the world, and we see it pop up in unexpected places all the time!

great post...

@Mrs. P - LOL! I have WAY too much fun incorporating you and your "paws" into my posts ;) I remembered I had my actual notes, so I took a pic and added it to the post now. It's crazy what this has reduced me to.

hahaha, Lisa, what a great post. Well, Stan definitely ruined Jingle Bells for us, didn't she? Admit it, did you feel weird, to say the least, at thinking of Edward's balls jingling while sitting in a church? PMSL, she's a genius that one.

Aw, what a heartbreaking video, Lisa. Out of all four books, New Moon is my favourite, simply because it's so emotional, and I've never read before someone describe a broken heart as perfectly as SM did. I remember when I got to the Oct/Nov/Dec pages, I said "Oh no" outloud, and I had to use all my strength to hold myself back from crying, because I was at work reading this.

Ok, I'm off to bed now. Chapter 4 is sent to TwiWeasel for editing.

Tomorrow, darlings.

WOW! I feel so honored that me and my avi made it on your blog!!!!

I puffy heart you Lisa!

And I LOVE that you took Twi-notes at the concert! LMFAO! You are truly a chick after my own heart. I relate everything to the Twiverse now! It's a disease, but at least I'm not alone.

Keep up the great posts! You always make me smile.

LOL!!! You are officially beyond addicted to Twiland. It's great!

I think we can say you are completely lost in the twi-bloggy world when you take notes at a church concert for it! LMAO the whole read! great post...

@Lisa - Thank you for confirming that the world does indeed revolve around Twilight! Thanks again for your bloggy matchmaking. Z Any Mouse, F-Kat & I had lots of fun today & we wish you could have been there too.

Z Any Mouse - I'm so glad you're not a serial killer :) It was fun getting to know you & we need to do it again soon!

This made me smile, cuz I do the same thing just about everywhere I go! I can't help it, something always reminds me of Twilight or Rob. Glad to know it's not only me! You've inspired me to read Jingle Balls, what a perfect story for Christmastime! lol...Loved the video btw!

@Lisa - Yes, thank you for connecting us SoCal girls! We did have a blast drooling over Rob, and are looking forward to doing it again. It was such a relief to know there was not a serial killer or fat bald man in the bunch!

Ooo Oo Z I lost your email or I think I have, I mean I MAY still have it but I can't find it so can I have it again please xxxxxx

Just actually paid attention to your post, lmfao, its like internet dating except you were all women (thankfully) I was supposed to meet a 6ft 1 blonde guy once and he wasabout 5ft 6, he said it was a typo and bald, now I don't mind bald, bald is good, nice on the thighs, but this guy sheeeat no way

@Jelena & TigerlilyRose - Luckily, the program wasn't in an actual church. They actually have it at a civic center because it's gotten so popular.

@Jelena - I have to be honest and say that New Moon is my least favorite book because Taycob takes it over. However, I thought Stephanie Meyer was a literary genius when I first read it and turned the pages for October, November, and December. It was so powerful. And, yes, we'll never think of Jingle Bells the same way again, which is too fun!

@Starlit Violets - I told you when you changed your avi how much I liked it and, clearly, it was on my mind at the concert. I puffy heart you back! And if this is a disease, I hope they never find a cure ;)

@JJ - I'm a Twiaddict alright, and you and STY are my favorite dealers :)

@Twilove1 - Thanks again for sending the picture of the three of you from yesterday. SO wish I could have been there!

@spellbound - You'll have to let me know what you thought of Jingle Balls. I just about died when I read Chapter 4! Stan, the author, is a hoot and I just love her.

@Nebilet - The worst blind date I ever had was one I set up myself, through work. I used to work for the airlines, in reservations, where you talk on the phone all day. I met this super nice guy over the phone, talked to him for several hours from home also, and then met him at a restaurant. He lied about everything! Instead of 32 (I was 21 at the time) he was easily 48, not 5'11'', but about 5'2'', and so fat he was a round ball. I suffered through dinner, and couldn't get away fast enough. Never again!

Oh god Z I tell you I met so many frogs. One guy I was dubious about that cos he looked kinda feminine said he was younger than me, no fucking way was he. He lived with his mum and he said hewasa college teacher, he chatted away for a while then asked if I was interested in no strings sex (bleurgh) another guy was a copper and he wanted to know if I was interested in a 24/7 BDSM relationship but I had to move to Wales. Man, that was a crazy time the old internet dating. I met some really nice guys inc my husband but some of them were total fucking out and out freaking liars

Ok, first I love the video. *Chills* Second, how cute are you two in that pic. Smoking hot mamas!! Love it.

Hi. *waves to all my friends* Your stories of internet dating are scaring me. (Nibbles, how did you ever survive it?!) 24/7 BDSM? Do people really do that? Just think, Twiluv & Zany, you could have been walking into the House O'Pain last night, never to be heard from again. Muahhahaha. My neighbors would have been quoted as saying, "She was always so quiet. We never knew."

Great post, Lisa. Taking Twi-notes at a church program definitely crosses over to the dark side. :)

PS. My daughter wonders why I got an evil laugh yesterday morning when she pointed out a pillow feather in my hair. lol

@F-Kat: Yay!!! I'm glad you found your way over here finally!! You're welcome for not killing you and hiding your body in the basement yesterday.

@All: Your blind date stories are scary! Very funny, but scary!! (and what is BDSM?)

StarlitViolets said...

I'm with Twilove1 - what the heck is BDSM? And is it bad to do it 24/7?

And I'm SO glad I married young, blind dates sound excruciating!

@F-Kat - It's good to see you here. Lisa's a supberb blogger! :)

BDSM - Bob(RPattz)Doing Stephanie Meyer?

17foreverlisa said...

@HG - LOL! I do hope you know that's not really us. I am relentless in my teasing of Mrs. P. I'm going to have to post get real pictures of us to post side by side. She's in New York, and I'm in Illinois. My last name is Parker, so technically we are both Mrs. P's :)

@F-Kat - *doing a happy dance* It's about damn time, woman! That bribe money I sent with Twilove1 and Z Any Mouse must have worked. So glad you made it here! TL1 and ZAM have had nothing but good things to say about their visit with you. ZAM just sent me her pics, so you'll have to come back and check out my post when I get it done. Too funny about your daughter pointing out that you had a feather in your hair. You must be living right ;)

@All - I'm not sure we want to know what BDSM means. I have a guess, but I will leave it at that. LOL!

@Z Any Mouse - And that was definitely NOT what I was thinking it meant. That's ewwww and hilarious at the same time!!

@StarlitViolets - Awwwww. That puffy heart I sent your way earlier just got a whole lot bigger! And I'm with you. I got married right out of high school, so I've never had to do the whole dating thing.

I love this post Lisa! There are multiple times throughout the day that I think of Rob and/or Twilight. Just today I was at the copy machine at work and the screen said LTR on it. I have no idea what it means in copier world, but in my world it's Letters to Rob. :o)

Honolulu Girl-Suz said...

Oh my gosh. Duh! I thought that was you two in the photo. Well, fuck it. So what. You both are still hot mamas!!! Hehehe.

NibbleitPattinsonakaNebilet said...

Oh come on!!!!!!!!!!!! you guys don't know what BDSM is, you haven't googled that shit already? BDSM-Bondage, domination/discipline, submission/sadism and masochism.
How do I know this stuff, I have had a very um varied and interesting life, some would call it fucked up, some would call it, ah yeah it was fucked up till I met my husband. But it had been pretty fucked up on and off since I was 5 years old so yanno. Anyway all I can say is my life has shaped the person I have become today, foul mouthed, feisty, caring, reliable, honest and loving. I could have become a total fucking freak but I didn't, testify!
So on that note I may be MIA till much later today cos yeah yeah you heard it before I gotta lotta work to do hehe. Love ya's ladies xx
