New Moon Dislikes Continued (SPOILER ALERT)

#8 – I wanted real tears from Kristen/Bella, especially when she finally collapses (which, by the way was awkward as hell; after a very long, dramatic pause, she takes one step, trips, and falls to the ground). When she curls up into a fetal position, at one point, she even tries to cover her face with her hand. At the very least, we should have seen/heard her racked with sobs.

#9 – As TO Twi-cat reminded me over at Twitarded, I missed Bella opening her birthday gift from Edward, the CD he recorded of his music, as well as him hiding the "memories" that he existed under the floorboards in her bedroom.

You know it’s funny that you mention that because I would have to say that’s my number one complaint (amongst a few minor other ones). She didn’t cry at all. I would have had a swollen, snotty red nose, swollen eyes (my eyes get puffy) and probably swollen lips. Oh, shit. I would have looked like a fucking puffer fish from crying so hard if Edward left me. Either way, I agree with you.

I hear ya, even though she doesn't cry in the book, she could have looked a LOT more distraught. I did not FEEL her pain, I just thought she looked like she was acting too much.

KStew is physically incapable of crying. She had her tear ducts surgically removed.

Sprtzmom, you were dead on with your observations! I wasn't happy with the costuming overall and Rosalie's look was a crime. Someone had to have purposely worked really hard to make her look that bad. Another scene that had people (ie: me) snickering was during the scene in the kitchen when Jacob speaks to Bella in the "Indian tongue." I thought the elevator scene was delightfully offbeat and any scene with Edward in it is my favorite (I'm easy that way). Oh, and what's up with Jasper's new accent? I realize they wanted to set the scene for his southern roots for the next movie, but the accent combined with that hair was too cheesy. I love the twinkle in his eye in NM, but his Twilight look was way better. That said, I still absolutely loved the movie and plan to see it many many many more times!

@HG - ...a fucking puffer fish. Too funny!

@Mrs. P - Exactly. I did not feel her pain in the break-up scene. On the flip side, which I will include in my Likes post when I get around to it, I did feel her pain in the October-November-December scene. She nailed that and her voice (does anyone else find her voice sexy as hell when she narrates?) when she was "writing" to Alice gutted me.

@mmMoxie - I'll bite. I'm not sure if you're stating a fact or being sarcastic. I am Twitarded after all! LOL!

@Twilove1 - Oh, geez, I completely forgot about Taycob speaking Quileute just before the aborted kiss in the kitchen. Their heart was in the right place by trying to incorporate it into the script, but it was the equivalent of throwing cold water on a dog in heat. And it will be interesting to see how they let Jackson play Jasper in Eclipse. They are portraying vampires living in current times for crying out loud, so maybe they should just give the boy a beanie and call it a day!

sprtzmom....we do have the same opinions. You should be part of the Saga Mafia. Move to Phoenix to be part of our crew!

btw.....I was being sarcastic about KStew's operations (but it seems like it could be possible)

@mmMoxie - Wow. You have no idea how close to the mark you are!

My son plays college baseball, and we followed his team on their spring training trip to Tuscon both years he spent at the junior college level. My husband's cousin lives in Phoenix, and we met up with her both times. I LOVED it in Arizona. I never had a single sinus headache, which was saying a lot. I have said numerous times that if it wasn't for the fact that our families all live nearby, I'd move to Arizona in a heartbeat. Now you've given me one more reason :)

Of course, that was before I realized that I need to move to LA, get a job at LAX, and attend red carpet movie premieres to catch glimpses of Rob ;)

For now, I'll just have to settle for dual citizenship: Twitardia and Sagamafia. Life is good!

Lisa

P.S.: I figured you were being sarcastic with the tear-duct comment, but I seriously almost Googled it just to be sure. LOL!!

@mmMoxie and Sprtzmom - I grew up in Phoenix and graduated from Shadow Mountain H.S. '80. I loved it while I was there (about 7 years), but I love southern California more :). I still have friends back there, and am planning to go to the dreaded 30-year reunion that's coming up next year.

@Z Any Mouse - Geez, did you have to remind me that it will be my 30 year class reunion next year, too?! LOL!!

I totally agree with you and HG on #8. She needed to cry a bit. I'd be screaming and crying and falling down all over that forest. I wouldn't even be able to talk cause I'd be hyperventilating. Then I'd pass out on the forest floor and a skunk would come by and spray me and the squirrels would throw nuts at me. LOL
I missed #9...need to go back and see NM a 2nd time so I can catch up to you!

@rottymama - Hope my comment wasn't misleading. I "missed" her opening Edward's gift because they didn't include it in the movie.
